Time to Register for Classes

Today is the start of registration week. Make sure, if you haven't already, that you make an appointment with your adviser this week. In case you need to know, here's the dates you can register:
90+ credit hours and Honor Students (11/1 & 11/2)
54+ credit hours (11/3 &11/4)
All students (11/5 - 11/12)

With the new system, there have been some problems with registration. I know that I should be able to register today because I have 90 credit hours, but the new system was having issues and when I logged on I was unable to register. I stopped by the registrar's office and they were able to fix my transcript. I'm sure they'll be very busy all week in the registrar's office, but if you have a problem, I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out. I know it may be very frustrating because we all want our classes and want to make sure they don't fill up, but seeing it is a new system, we will have to deal with problems. Don't worry, you'll get your classes.

In case you're unsure of how to work NetClassroom, there is a link to a powerpoint that explains how to use it. Click here to visit the page. On the side there's an image of a laptop computer that say "NetClassroom Training." If you click on it, the powerpoint will download. The image at the side is what you're looking for on the website.

Also, if you're currently able to register, when you log on to NetClassroom, on the side will be a link to register for classes. It can also be found under the tab labeled classes. Here's where you go to add the classes you want for the spring semester.

After this semester of registration things should go a lot smoother next year. The kinks of NetClassroom should be worked out, the students will know how to navigate the site, and the advisers will know how the registration process works. It always sucks being the first to try out a new system, but someone's got to. Hopefully, things will go okay this week.

And, if you want to relieve some stress after this week. Check out these events going on:
  • Saturday, November 6th: The last home varsity football game will be at 1pm against Hope College. Also, TKE will be holding the 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl at 6pm on the football field.
  • Sunday, November 7th: Rake 'n Run - help out the members of the community by spending time raking with different groups on campus.
  • Saturday, November 13th: Alphi Phi host their Annual Red Dress Gala
  • Sunday, November 14th: Showcase concert in Dawson Auditorium at 3pm
  • Tuesday, November 23rd: Campus housing closes at 9.30pm for Thanksgiving Break
  • Sunday, November 28th: Campus housing opens at noon from Thanksgiving Break
There's not much left of the semester so make sure you get everything for your classes done, but don't forget to have fun and check out all the events happening on campus.
