Convocation & Military Appreciation Day

Welcome back students, professors, and faculty. Hope all of you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Now that classes are back in session, here are some events happening on campus this week.

Today is the first convocation of the semester. Jonah Lehrer is the speaker. He is the author of the book "How We Decide." The convocation is going to take place in Herrick Chapel at noon. According to The Los Angeles Times, he is "captivating, accessible, and never dull, he talks about how we make decisions -- and how we can make better decisions." He should be a great speaker to start out the convocation series at Adrian this year.

On Saturday we have our first home football game against Defiance College. Although, that's not the only thing happening on Saturday. Adrian College has recently been named a Military Friendly School. To celebrate this achievement and to honor the local veterans and active service members, Adrian College is hosting a Military Appreciation Day. Below is the schedule of events.

4-5:15 pm Picnic/Remarks (buffet; arrive no later than 4:45)

5:30 pm Line Up & Field Recognition (arrive by 5:15 for line up)
