Ben Folds to perform at ADRIAN COLLEGE!


Renowned pianist and solo artist Ben Folds will be performing in concert on Adrian College’s campus April 16, 2008. Tickets for the concert go on sale next week.


The performance will take place in the Merillat Sport & Fitness Center’s multi-purpose room. The concert will begin at 8:30 P.M. with the opening act, Ben Lee. The concert is open to Adrian College students, faculty and staff and the entire community. Doors open at 7:30 P.M.
Adrian College students and personnel can purchase tickets beginning at 9 A.M. Monday, March 10. General Admission is standing room only. All students receive one free ticket and must redeem these on the website. Additional tickets can be purchased for $10. Tickets for College personnel are also $10.


Tickets will go on sale for the general public on Monday, March 17 at 9 A.M. These tickets are $15 each and general admission is standing room only.

Each ticket has a barcode that will be scanned when entering the venue. Students must have their student ID and electronic ticket to be admitted free.

Folds is best known as a solo artist and as the front-man and pianist of Ben Folds Five. Folds’ music is evocative of artists such as Joe Jackson and Sir Elton John with an added edge and bold infusion of energy and wit.


In 2000, Ben Folds Five broke up and Folds began his solo career in 2001 with the release of many albums. Over the past few years Folds has also provided a number of songs for film soundtracks. He is currently recording his newest album which will be released later this year.
