SGA ELECTIONS TIMELINE 2008!!!

It's about time for you, ADRIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS, to decided who will represent the student body as next year's Student Government Association President, Vice President and Class Officers.

The following is a timeline of the election process for your knowledge.

  • Monday March 3, 2008: SGA petitions will be available in the Office of Student Activities.

If you want to run for President of Vice President you will need 100 signatures from your peers, if you would like to run for a Class Officer position (which includes President, VP and Sec/Treasurer) you must have 50 signatures from your peers.

  • Tuesday March 11, 2008: SGA Informal Debate, 8:00-10:00pm, Caine Student Center.

This debate is for anyone who is INTERESTED in running for SGA President. You do not need to have your 100 signatures completed at this point - this is just to give you an opportunity to voice some of your ideas to the students and to help you decide if the position is right for you.

  • Tuesday March 18, 2008: SGA Formal Debate, 8:00-10:00pm, Mahan 102.

In order to participate in this debate you must have your 100 signatures turned in to the Office of Student Activities by 5:00pm on Monday March 17, 2oo8.

  • Wednesday March 26, 2008: Elections, Ritchie Lobby, 11:30am-1:00pm & 5:00-7:00pm.

Adrian College students may vote for SGA President, VP and class officers at this time.

  • Thursday March 27, 2008: Election results announced.
